I Want To Be A Roitfeld

April 3, 2011

I’m having trouble parting with my March Carine Roitfeld Vogue Paris. Her twisted, sexy French DNA, erotically liberated female ideology, love your problems, more than occasionally disturbing, uncompromisingly haute, take on fashion has affected me maybe more than Tom Ford. Yup. Well, we’ll delve more into that later.

But as I was leaving for the Prashe show last night, I also didn’t want to part with my newly acquired Lulu Guinness bag. Compliments of Scot’s brother who discovered the vintage jewel at an estate sale. Every time I’ve been to an estate sale it’s cascading bric-a-brac and dusty lamp shades.

Well, in the interim, this might be the beginning of an ongoing love letter to C.R. xoxo

Very interesting attachment to fashion’s literary aspects. Come clean with the “Tom Ford” aspect. Should not insert a such an imagative hook, that leaves one’s imagination dangling!

Thank you so much! I have linked back to you. I appreciate your loyalty to the Roitfelds, they are first in my heart but I love me some Vogue Paris! And how do you feel about Giovanna Battaglia?

    Keep in touch!

Hey 🙂 Giovanna’s super cooool… her look reminds me a lot of a modern Audrey Hepburn. Of course, I don’t know her, but from what I’ve seen on video, she reminds me of the popular girl in school that’s probably really nice but comes off a bit stuck up 🙂 But that only makes her even cooler, right?! My two favorite stylists right now are Barbara Martelo and Géraldine Saglio.
      Always LOVING your blog!
